Feb 01, 2020 · First, the Physical (PHY) Layer of BLE defines 40 Radio Frequency (RF) channels in the 2.4 GHz band, among which three channels are defined as advertising channels for disseminating data and 37 data channels are used for bidirectional exchange of messages in established connections. The reason for this is that I need to associate the RSS readings with the BLE RF channel index (0 to 39). Why should this flood the USB? This should be similar to reading the RSS. Every time a packet is received, the dongle measures the RSSI and knows which channel it was measured. Any advice? Thanks, Saeed.RF Features • ISM band 2.402 GHz to 2.480 GHz operation • Channels: 0 to 39 • Receive Sensitivity: typical -90 dBm (LE) • Transmit Power: 0 dBm (typical) • Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) monitor with 1 dB resolution MAC/Baseband/Higher Layer Features • Secure AES128 encryption • GAP, GATT, SMP, L2CAP and integrated public The BLE stack implements the core BLE functionality as defined in the Bluetooth Core Specification 4.2. It provides ease of control for configuring RF setting as channel, Tx power, etc. The nRF DTM mainly provides UI tool but it supports command-line base tool as well ...If you’re using the BLE module as per the original grant of authorization (i.e. same antenna, max gain, freq band, modulation etc..) then I don’t believe you need to have the RF retested. If they were both on at the same time, you’d need to do some re-testing due to antenna co-location. This example shows how to perform Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) radio frequency (RF) physical layer (PHY) transmitter tests specific to modulation characteristics, carrier frequency offset, and drift using Communications Toolbox™ Library for the Bluetooth Protocol. Bluetooth Headsets vs RF Headsets. Bluetooth technology runs on 2.4GHz RF. Most Bluetooth headsets run with Class 2 Bluetooth, which provides a range of up to 33 feet. There are a couple of Class 1 Bluetooth headsets that have ranges up to 300 feet. Bluetooth headsets are generally small and worn on or in the ear. 79 selectable RF channels (2402 to 2480 MHz) Flexible network topologies: peer-to-peer, star, tree, high node count, mesh and more ...
